Our Story
After years in the trenches working hands-on in the field of concrete construction, Somerville Concrete Masters came into existence due to the common practices of other concrete contractors – taking shortcuts, poor base preparation, too little or no reinforcing, and finishing as fast as possible. The result was usually a driveway that developed cracks in just a few short years, a patio that had settled, and a foundation that failed.
At Somerville Concrete Masters, we built our business on a different standard than most contractors. Our process begins with a detailed plan for every job. On every pour, we use the engineer’s specifications. And we complete every finish to meet industry quality standards. While this approach takes more time upfront than most contractors are willing to spend, it produces high-quality concrete that will perform well for many years to come.

Licenses and Insurance
Somerville Concrete Masters is a fully licensed concrete contractor as mandated by the state of Massachusetts. We carry all necessary comprehensive general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. The reason for these licenses and insurances isn’t because they are laws – it’s to protect our customers from potential risks and hold ourselves accountable for them.
Our license indicates that we have an understanding of local building codes, inspections, and how to properly install a new slab. In addition, our insurance will cover your home should there be any problem or damage during the course of our work. Before the start of each job, we offer proof of insurance, and we continually monitor to ensure that our insurance is current throughout the time we are installing the slab.
